    Summertime means Get Outside in JoCo!

With plenty hours of sunlight, get outside the city to go biking on our greenways, or discover a new outdoor hobby like geocaching. Travel along our Farmer's Markets and Local Produce Trail to find seasonal produce homegrown by our local farms. Don't forget to pick your own strawberries and blueberries! Finally, plan ahead to attend JoCo's annual festivals, like the 301 Endless Yard Sale and the many 4th of July celebrations around the county. There's always something happening in Johnston County and you can look for the perfect summer activity or event using our calendar - which features concerts, trivia nights, vendor fairs, and more!  

    Johnston County is a destination located "just outside the city," only 30 minutes east of Raleigh, and convenient for visitors traveling through NC at the crossroads of I-95 and I-40! Be sure to #VisitJoCo! Our rich history, recreation, agritourism, and emerging culinary scene are just a few reasons to stop and stay a while...don't pass us by!
