September ushers back in the performing arts series at both The Clayton Center and the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium at Johnston Community College...along with the regular weekend shows at the American Music Jubilee there is a great variety of cultural activities throughout the county to enjoy.
Colin Hay makes his second appearance at The Clayton Center in a concert scheduled for Friday, September 7. Tickets for the 8pm show go on sale at 10am on Wednesday, July 18. Tickets are $25, reserved seating. Click here for details.
The American Music Jubilee Variety Show is a two hour extravaganza that will have you singing along with your favorite songs, laughing out loud, and feeling a stirring of pride from deep within your soul as we pay tribute to this great country. The variety of songs ranges from classic instrumentals such as "Welcome To My World," Jazz classics like "At Last," Country greats such as "I Believe" and sometimes there is a special appearance by the immortal "Blues Brothers."· Click here for details.
Forty years a performing and touring ensemble, the Tony Award-winning Red Clay Ramblers are a North Carolina string band whose repertoire reflects their roots in old-time mountain music, as well as bluegrass, country, rock, New Orleans jazz, gospel, and the American musical.
