Smithfield's newly renovated amphitheater is situated along the Buffalo Creek Greenway, a part of both the Mountains to Sea Trail and the East Coast Greenway. Warm summer evenings create the perfect lighting for a Movies in the Park Series; see Jungle Cruise on September 16. There are also many more events in the works so that both community members and visitors can enjoy fun and free events at the amphitheater throughout the year.
While you're downtown, keep in mind the amphitheater is within walking distance of various attractions and restaurants. Take a stroll along the Neuse River Walk and enjoy unique local shopping. Enjoy lunch at SoDoSoPa or Gilded Pear, among other local favorites.
